オーストラリア出身のフォーク・ミュージシャン、Indigo Sparkeは、2016年にEP『Night Bloom』をリリース後、ブルックリンのバンド、Big Thiefの2017年／2018年のツアーでオープニングアクトを務め、SXSW2019等にも出演し、キャリアをつんできた。彼女は、2019年にニューヨーク、ミネアポリス、トパンガ等、アメリカ中を旅した経験で培った創造的なエネルギーを、最新アルバム『Echo』の完成に際し注ぎ込んだ。また『Echo』は、Big Thiefのヴォーカル、Adrianne LenkerやBig Thief、Nick Hackim、Bon Iver等の制作関わったAndrew Sarlo等をプロデューサーに迎え制作された。
