Sub Popはポーランドのシンガー、プロデューサー、マルチインストゥルメンタリスト、Tobiasz Bilińskiのプロジェクト、Perfect Sonと契約をおこなった。元々、エレクトロポップのバンド、Coldairで活動していたTobiasz Bilińskiは、サウス・バイ・サウスウェストに同バンドで出演。その際、Sub Popの共同設立者、Jonathan PonemanがTobiasz Bilińskiのステージみて、それが今回の契約の契機となった。2016年、Tobiasz BilińskiはColdairで成功をおさめようとしていた。この頃、Tobiasz Bilińskiは大きな変化の必要性を感じており、同年にリリースされたColdairのセカンド・アルバム『The Provider』で、彼は過去の古いことの全てを取り除こうと試みたのだ。結果、アルバムは大きな賞賛を浴び、更に当『Cast』で、こうした彼のミッションは完成するに至った。リード・シングル「It’s For Life」、アルバムのハイライトとなる「Promises」と「Lust」他、全10曲を収録した『Cast』は、ワルシャワのAxis AudioでTobiasz BilińskiとMarcin Buźniakの共同プロデュースでレコーディングされた。追加のプロダクションはフィラデルフィアのUniform RecordingでJeff Zeiglerによっておこなわれ、ミックスとマスタリングはMarcin Buźniakが手掛けた。Perfect SonはSub Pop初のポーランドのアーティストとなり、2019年2月、デビュー・アルバム『Cast』をリリースする。
